An education centre, immersed in nature
Wild Mountains is an independent education centre, event space and community hub in the Scenic Rim, an hour and a half from Brisbane. For more than nine years we have welcomed students, families and volunteers onto a living rainforest campus to learn, restore and reconnect.
Our programs inspire young people to care for the natural world, build practical skills, and find hope through hands-on action. Everything we do is rooted in this place and the community that gathers here.

Nature is the best teacher we know. By bringing young people into wild places, giving them real work to do and a community to do it with, we help grow the next generation of environmental leaders.

Get out on the land
Roll up your sleeves and give back to a place you love. Our volunteers and program participants spend weekends out on the mountain doing the work that matters:
- Volunteer weekends at Bruce’s Shed
- Rainforest regeneration and tree planting
- Citizen science and wildlife surveys
- Off-grid and sustainable-living workshops
