Volunteer & Landcare
Care for country with us
Spend a weekend out on the mountain regenerating rainforest, planting trees and giving back to a place you love.

Volunteer weekends
Weekends at Bruce’s Shed
Our volunteer weekends are the beating heart of Wild Mountains. People come up the mountain, roll up their sleeves and do the slow, satisfying work of bringing rainforest back, then gather around the fire when the day is done.
Whether you come for one weekend or become a regular, you are part of the community that keeps this place alive.
What you will do
The work that matters

Rainforest regeneration
Help bring the rainforest back, clearing weeds, nurturing seedlings and restoring habitat across the property.

Tree planting
Get native trees into the ground. Every planting day adds to a canopy that will outlive all of us.

Citizen science & surveys
Take part in wildlife surveys and citizen-science monitoring that track how the land is recovering.
What to expect
Your first weekend
A warm welcome
You will be met at Bruce’s Shed, shown the ropes, and looked after. Come as you are.
Real work, good company
Hands-on conservation alongside a like-minded crew, with plenty of time to share a meal and a campfire.
No experience needed
We provide the tools, the guidance and the gloves. Just bring sturdy shoes, a hat and a willing pair of hands.
Come up the mountain
Register your interest and we will let you know when the next volunteer weekend is on. We would love to have you.
