Our place
A living rainforest campus
Wild Mountains sits at 487 Philp Mountain Road, Running Creek, deep in the Scenic Rim and about an hour and a half from Brisbane. For more than nine years we have welcomed students, families and volunteers onto a living rainforest campus to learn, restore and reconnect.
We are an independent, registered charity. Everything we do is rooted in this place: the ridgelines, the creek, the off-grid cabins and the quiet that lets young people hear themselves think.

Our approach
Nature is the best teacher we know
By bringing young people into wild places, giving them real work to do and a community to do it with, we help grow the next generation of environmental leaders. Learning here is hands-on, immersive and grounded in this landscape.

Our community
Held by the people who gather here
Students, families, volunteers and Landcarers all have a place on the mountain. Together we plant trees, restore habitat, run camp-outs and care for country.
Acknowledgement of Country
Wild Mountains acknowledges the Miginberri people of the Yugambeh language group, the traditional custodians of this land, and pays respect to Elders past, present and emerging. We are grateful to learn and care for country on the mountain they have tended for tens of thousands of years.
